Dorothy Michael

Dorothy Ellen Michael, 88, died at 10:29 a.m. December 10, 2008, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born August 28, 1920, in Lima, Ohio to Albert and Hettie Snyder Stump, who preceded her in death. In March 1942, she married Harry M. Michael, who died February 28, 1994. Mrs. Michael had worked in the cafeteria at Lima City Schools. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and its Martha Circle. She was a member and volunteer with the Lima Memorial Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Square Hi Square Dancers. Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Mike) Cook, of Elida, Ohio, and Shirley Clark, of High Bridge, N.J.; three grandchildren, Tammy Tyms, Brett Cook and Marcie Kubik; and five great-grandchildren, Shannon and Kaitlyn Tyms, Morgan Cook and Lukas and Ava Kubik. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Stump. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in St. Matthews Cemetery. The Rev. Howard Allison will officiate.
