Dorothy ?Dot? Shetler-Patton, 82, died at 6:05 p.m. December 15, 2008, at her residence. She was born April 20, 1926, in Lima, Ohio to Charles and Anna McKamey Sr., who preceded her in death. She married Alvin B. Shetler Jr., who died August 2, 1990. On August 29, 1998, she married George W. Patton, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Shetler-Patton was a homemaker and had worked several part-time jobs, including working at Hermies Party Shop, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, American Legion Post 96 and Westinghouse Electric Corp. She was a member of the South Side Christian Church. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers. She enjoyed Bath Wildcats football and wrestling, and attended many dance recitals, competitions and drum corps shows over the years. In her earlier years, she was involved in softball, the Washington-McKinley Spring Follies, the Snappy Steppers and F-Troop. Survivors also include two daughters, Sharon Bailey Hanes and Jackie Caprella, both of Lima, Ohio; five grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Bailey, of Nashville, Tennessee, Kenny Bailey, of Denver, Colorado, A.J. Caprella, of Lima, Ohio, Dee Hanes, of Denver, Colorado, and Heather Hanes, of Cleveland, Ohio; a great-grandson, Michael David Bailey, of Nashville, Tennessee; her twin sister Doris Gaberty of New Baltimore, Michigan; her best friend, Jenney Robinson, of Lima, Ohio; and her special family, Rick Robinson, Holly Moore, of Lima, Ohio, Rick Robinson II and Andrea Robinson, both of Columbus, Ohio, and Katie (Jeff) Hunt, Jeffrey Hunt II, David (Michelle) Robinson and McCartney Robinson, all of Lima, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles McKamey Jr.; three sisters, Reba Morris, Willa May ?Billy? Fruchey and Louise Case; and special family member, Kathy Robinson. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at South Side Christian Church. The Rev. Douglas Adams and Wanda Werking will officiate. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
