94, died at 6:50 AM on Monday, December 26, 2016, at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio.

Dorothy was born on October 1, 1922, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Samuel Paradore and Ethel Mae (Owens) Paradore. She married David Steward on September 16, 1944 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 1970.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Eddy) Steward Hallmark, of Roswell, GA and Susan Middlemiss, of Springfield, OH; four grandchildren, David (Joni) Middlemiss, Edward Middlemiss, Katherine Hallmark, Sarah Hallmark and six great grandchildren, Destiny Middlemiss, Drake Middlemiss, Jordan Middlemiss, Kaiya Middlemiss, Katelynd Steward, and Grayson Rinik: nieces, Carol Stacey, Karen Piercefield, and Joyce Hatley, and nephews John Paradore Jr. and Steve Cira.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Pauline (Joe) Cira and Lucille (Frank) Cira, brother John (Catherine) Paradore Sr., and nephew Robert (Nancy) Cira.

After moving to California in the early 1940's, she worked in a photographic studio making pictures for movie stars. Her husband David did magic acts as Lord Chesterfield. Dorothy became his assistant for a number of years. She then worked for Walt Disney at the Disneyland Hotel for 30 years. Upon retirement, she moved back to Lima to be with her sisters.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio, with a funeral beginning at 4:00 PM. Fr. David Ross will officiate.
