92, died at 8:15 AM on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.

Dorothy was born on December 16, 1925, in Lima, Ohio, to late Leonard Jones and Reverta (Black) Jones.  Dorothy was married to Danny V. Taylor for 45 years.  He passed away on June 13, 1994.

Dorothy retired from St. Rita's Medical Center where she had worked in the laundry. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Bradfield Community Center, NAACP, and the American Legion. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being around family members.

She is survived by her son, Hasan (Jeffrey Taylor) Shabazz and his wife Barb, of Lima, OH; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Anne Miller, and Mrs. Mary Lou Taylor, both of Winchester, KY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen L. Taylor; three sisters, Ione "Jo" Barkley, Rose Jefferson, and Jeanne Towsey.

The family will receive friends from 10-11AM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 11AM. Rev. Dennis Ward will officiate. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
