Dorothy Sterrett Tigner

DOROTHY MAE (STERRETT) TIGNER 77, died at 8:30 p.m. February 17, 2010 at Lebanon Country manor in Lebanon, Ohio. She was born on April 9, 1932 in Lima, Ohio to Ira Theo and Orpha May (Himes) Sterrett, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Lima South High School, in the class of 1950. She retired from West Ohio Gas Company. She was a member of the Rousculp Church of Christ. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Survivors include, a son, Bruce Lee Tigner, a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Tigner, a daughter, Leslie Ann Bowerman, a son, Craig Allen & Jamie Tigner, a son, Randall Jay & Angela Tigner, a son, William Joseph & Diane Tigner, a Daughter, Loraine Kay & Daniel Nabors; sister, Thea Isabel Williams; 16 Grandchildren-Shelly & Tony Keeling, Anastasia Tigner, Lauren Bowerman, Macenzie Nabors, McKayla Nabors, Ryan Tigner, Joshua Tigner, Christina Tigner, Allison Brown, Bradley Swick, Brittany Swick, Brandon Swick, Jessica Thirkill, Jamie Thirkill, Justin Kretz, Jennifer Kretz; 4 Great Granchildren-Playcie Allen, Nolynn Allen, Alicia Thirkill, and Lillyth Keeling. She was preceded in death by-One Great Grandchild-Akira Nathaniel Keeling; two brothers, Bernard Arwood Sterrett, and Cyril Norman Sterrett; and two sisters, Ruth Audrey Taylor and Velma Elaine Wheelbarger . Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 22, 2010 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Vernik will officiate.
