Surviving are son, Douglas Lee Samons, Jr. of Alger, OH, daughters, Rebbeca Samons and Jessica Samons of Roswell, NM, a granson Alex, six brothers, Jerry (Janet) Stewart of Lima, OH, Carl (Michiyo) Samons of Lima, OH, Ronald Samons of Lima, OH, James Samons of Lima, OH, David Samons of Lima, OH and Donnie Samons of Lima, OH, Two sisters, Bernice (Roger) Wood of Lima, OH and Edith Fay Starkey of St. Marys, OH.
He was predeceased by a brother, Bill Wilcox., and two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Samons and Lennie Samons.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with burial of cremains at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Arnold Wright will officiate. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr. St. B, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
