Edith Barnum

EDITH BARNUM, 87, died at 1:44 a.m. October 10, 2006, at her son's residence. She was born October 5, 1919, in Bluffton, Ohio to Ervin W. and Eva Marie Stratton Moser, who preceded him in death. On May 11, 1979, she married Clarence Barnum, who died December 28, 1992. Mrs. Barnum was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses East Congregation. She was a 1937 graduate of Bluffton High School. Survivors include a son, James Allen (Darlene) Fox of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Marjorie (Roy) Barlett of Alger, Ohio and Rosella Jean (Mac) McCarthy of Norfolk, Virginia; four grandchildren, Sheila (Jack) Small, Vernon (Lisa) Fox, Machele (Jeremy) Fox and Diana "Dee" Fox; two great-grandchildren, Kristal Fox and Eric Fox; and two step great-grandchildren, Jack Small II and Lora (Joe) Small. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Herbert Moser and Victor Moser, Eunice Zerante, Victoria Smeltzly and Morris Moser; and a grandson, Robert A. Fox. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Michael Skinner will officiate. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery, Bluffton, Ohio.
