Edith Stoddard

EDITH L. STODDARD, 82, died at 2:57 p.m. August 24, 2006, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. She was born August 29, 1923, in Lima, Ohio to William "Lee" and Lucille Huston Hollar, who preceded her in death. She married Aisle Stoddard, who died February 2, 1993. They were married for more than 50 years. Mrs. Stoddard retired in 1979 from the cafeteria at Shawnee schools after more than 10 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved playing cards, working crossword puzzles and reading. Survivors include two sons, Steve (Cathy) Stoddard of Machesney Park, Illinois, and Ronald (Nora Ann) Stoddard of Lima, Ohio; a brother, Buddy L. (Margaret) Hollar of Lima, OHio; nine grandchildren, Dennis (Jutta) Stoddard of Tacoma, Washington, William K. Stoddard of Ormond Beach, Florida, Michelle Frazer of Lima. Ohio, Ronda Davis of Cairo, Ohio, Curtis Jenkins of Ada, Ohio, Andrea (Chris) Baker of Gibraltar, Michigan, and Greg Stoddard, Bryan Stoddard and Brad Stoddard, all of Illinois; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Marilyn Jenkins and Linda Stoddard; two sisters, Phyllis Niehaus and Annabelle Stienbough; and a granddaughter, Shirlene Jenkins. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
