Edna Rachel Hampton
94, died at 4:27 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.

Edna was born on February 28, 1923, in Pineville, Kentucky, to the late Leeandra Martin and Lena (Green) Martin. She married John F. Hampton who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Darrell) Engle and a son, John (Dianna) Hampton, OH; five grandchildren, Debra Goodin, Robin (James) Woodruff, Donna (Mark) Cady, Tracy (Steve) Hooker, Stephanie Engle; two step grandchild, Bran (Michelle) Kimmy and Melissa Kimmy; eleven great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a grand son, Stephen Goodin and siblings Charles Martin , Earl Martin, Catherine Denson, Gloria Jean Campell and Nezzie Mason.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 13, 2017at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Lima Missionary Baptist Church in Lima, OH. Also an hour before the funeral from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Rev. Terry Brock and Rev. Denny Hunter will officiate.

Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
