Edward S. Jamison,
87, died at 11:50 AM on Friday, October 20, 2017, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.
Edward was born on Saturday, May 10, 1930, in Elida, to Robert and Stella Gladys (Truesdale) Jamison. On Sunday, August 16, 1964, he married Jeanette Altvater who survives in Lima.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Edward was retired from Allen County Engineers after 28 years as a Civil Engineer and Bridge Inspector. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Elks Lodge BPOE #54, 60 year member Hope Lodge #214 Free and Accepted Masons of Delphos, 50 year member of both Royal and Select Masons of Ohio, member of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, 50 year member of Delphos Order of Eastern Star and is Past Worthy Patron ten times.
He is survived by: son, Frank (Judy) Jamison, Lima, daughter, Brooke Jamison, Lima, son-in-law, Chad Winters, Ft. Worth, TX; foster dad of, Sara Mulcahy, Frank Wranik, Paul Jamison and Andee Hamlin; grandchildren, Amanda (Brandon) Casler, Taylor Winters, Mackenzie Winters , Jaxson Winters and Gabe Jamison; brother, Joe (Marcella) Jamison and sister-in-law, Barbara Jamison.
He was preceded in death by: siblings, Jean (Louis) Redd, James (Pat) Jamison, William (Wanda) Jamison, Robert (Lucy) Jamison and Florence (Kenneth) Weaver.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2017 and one hour prior to services on Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Masonic and Eastern Star services will be held on Sunday at 7 PM.
A funeral service will begin at 1 PM on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Pastor Todd Cosart will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post #1275.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospitals.
