Edward Everett Nungester, 75, of Moyock, N.Carolina, formerly of Lima, Ohio, died at 5 a.m. December 23, 2007, at his residence. He was born May 11, 1932, in Lima, Ohio to Everett and Mary Hawk Nungester, who preceded him in death. On September 13, 1952, in Lima, OHio, he married Marilyn Sue Stokes, who survives in Moyock, N.Carolina. Mr. Nungester retired from the Lima Fire Department in March 1982. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the Navy from March 9, 1951, to March 8, 1955. He loved fishing and hunting, and was a model railroad hobbyist. Survivors also include three daughters, Debbie (Greg) Stevens, Cindy (Clyde) Overton and Kris Dodson; two grandchildren, Karla (Randy) Klett and Amanda Dodson; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan Klett and Wyatt Klett. Two sisters, Dorothy Melvin of Lima, Ohio, and Helen Eckenwiler of Beaverdam, Ohio He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Nungester; a grandson, Jon Cotterman; and a brother, Harold Nungester. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Adams will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
