Edward 'Steve' Sifrit,

68, died at 7:50 PM on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

Edward was born on Sunday, March 6, 1949, in Lima, to the late Edward and Mary [Cross] Sifrit.

Edward was a Cab Driver for Black and White Taxi Cab Service. He loved joking around, shooting pool and bowling. Edward was known as quite the 'Jokester'.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Sifrit; three children, Sheila (Ronnie) Tippie, Stephanie (John) Ervin and Joseph (Tiffany) Sifrit; stepchildren, Jason (Robin) Wilson, Teana Snavley, and Shannon Snavley; twenty-eight, grandchildren; five, great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Kerri 'Sue' (John) Allen, Thomas (Bonnie) Sifrit, Tracey Sifrit and Sandra Clevidenc and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Sifrit; brother, Jeffrey Sifrit and stepfather, Larry McPeek.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin following the visitation at 4 PM on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Pastor Jim Menke will officiate.
