EDWIN CURTIS WELLS, 66, died at 8:30 p.m. August 2, 2006, at his daughter's residence. He was born September 29, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio to Don Curtis and Roxy Marie Gilroy Wells, who preceded him in death. On May 17, 1958, he married Linda Lee Sailer, who died in September 1962. On March 17, 1967, he married Marylou E. Stombaugh, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Wells retired from American Torch Tip, Bradenton, Florida, and had been a machinist at Randall Bearings for 20 years. He was a member of Lodge 205 Free & Accepted Masons, where he served as grand master from 1981 to 1982. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and deer hunting. He was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball team. Survivors also include a son, Larry Wells of Lima, Ohio; three daughters, Laurine (Jim) Laderer of Lima, Ohio, Lisa Steinke of Fayetteville, Tennessee, and Alena (Kenny) Vincent of Mayfield, Kentucky; a stepson, Jack (Sue) Hunt of Lima, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Jeannine Bok of Elida, Ohio; and 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Donivon Edward Wells, Earl Mack Wells and Kenneth Paul Wells; and a granddaughter, Heather Marie Steinke. Services will begin at 2 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield, Ohio.
