Elizabeth Bice

Elizabeth M. ?Betty? Bice 88, died at 1:47 a.m. July 1, 2007, at Triumph Hospital, Lima, Ohio. She was born October 29, 1918, in Allen County, Ohio to John and Carrie Miller Adams, who preceded her in death. On August 23, 1947, she married Harold Bice, who died June 14, 2000. Mrs. Bice worked at numerous stores as a sales clerk. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple for 43 years. Survivors include two daughters, Darlene (Walter) Doyle, of Springfield, Mo., and Cynthia ?Cindy? (Joe) Sampson, of Lima, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Lucretia Warren, of California, and Roberta Johnson, of Michigan; three sisters, Armida Spyker, of Fostoria. Ohio, Donna Leedy, of Lima, Ohio, and Marcella (Joe) Jamison, of Elida, Ohio; a brother, Vernon (Linda) Adams, of Rochester, New York; eight grandchildren, Chad A. Bice, Jay C. Bice, Betty L. Doyle, Raymond D. (Melissa) Doyle, David L. (Sally) Doyle, Brian J. Sampson, Shawn M. Sampson, and Amber L. Chaffins; five step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and dear friends, Delbert Shinn, Edith McEwen and Marilyn Sue Morningstar. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Adams. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate.
