Elizabeth Jane Gaffer

Elizabeth (Betty) Gaffer, 89, of Lima, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, December 17, 2017 at Shawnee Manor. She was born to the late William and Mary Campbell, in Brooklyn, New York on November 15, 1928. She married the late Robert Gaffer on September 26, 1953, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Brooklyn, New York.
Survived by two sons, Glenn Gaffer (Patty), Kevin Gaffer (Cindy), two daughters, Gail McFarland, Theresa Gebhardt (John), and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Campbell, sister, Mary (May) Gaffir; brother-in-laws, Mitchell Gaffir, Edgar Gaffer, two nieces, Denise Gaffir; Debra Gaffir.
Elizabeth was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was formerly employed in the office at Servomation Vending, Lima, Ohio. Her quick wit and kind heart will always be remembered.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Lima, OH. Friends may visit from 9:30-10:30 AM at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, OH. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.
