Ella Prye

Ella M. Prye 77, died at 9:40 p.m. March 12, 2010, at her residence. She was born April 24, 1932, in Lima, Ohio to Jessie Franklin Sr. and Goldie Reser Van-Horn, who preceded her in death. On August 29, 1961, she married Herbert W. Prye, who died December 4, 1998. Mrs. Prye was a member of Salem Mennonite Church, an avid doll collector and crocheter. Survivors include a son, Paul (Karen) Gogley, of Lima, Ohio; a daughter, Cynthia Prye, of Lima, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Elliott, of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jason, Matthew and Christina Gogley; and a great-granddaughter, Averey Gogley. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul James Gogley Sr.. and a two brothers, Harold and Jesse Franklin VanHorn Jr. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Salem Mennonite Church, Elida. The Rev. Dottie Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
