Elma Gebhart

ELMA GEBHART, 67, died at 10:40 a.m. December 22, 2005, at her residence. She was born November 13, 1938, in Hebbronville, Texas, to Ambrosio and Herlinda Herrera Trevino. Her father survives. Mrs. Gebhart had worked at the Old Barn Out Back. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She attended Bath High School and Apollo Career Center; was involved with the city schools, Spartan Mothers and was a life member of the PTA. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader at Edison Elementary; was a member of the Blue Star Mothers; and had worked in the past at the polls on Election Day as a precinct official for the Allen County Board of Elections. Survivors also include a daughter, Alisa Gebhart Kirkhoff of Lima, Ohio; a son, Frank (Emily) Gebhart II of Kettering, Ohio; two brothers, Edward (Karen) Trevino and Erasmo Trevino, both of Lima, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Kory M. Gebhart, Ryan Kirkhoff, Elizabeth Bowen and Emily Lohr. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Lee Gebhart; and an aunt, Mary Luna. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
