Eloise Shutt, 90, died at 8 a.m. March 18, 2008, at Ridge at Shawnee. She was born May 4, 1917, in Lima, Ohio to John and Ethel Witherspoon Frail, who preceded her in death. On June 22, 1935, in Lima. Ohio, she married Albert Shutt, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Shutt had worked at the U.S. Plastics Factory. She was a member of Westside United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and playing the piano. Survivors include a daughter, Jeannie Cotner, of Michigan; four grandchildren, Chris (Angie) Cotner and Curt (Beth) Cotner, of Michigan, Scott (Jackie) Shutt, of Columbus, Ohio, and Tim (Stephanie) Shutt, of Lima, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Helen (Dave) McElderry, of Lima, Ohio; three sisters, Virginia Hefner, Mary Lutz and Pauline (Rollie) Rone, all of Lima, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Harrison (Myrna) Shutt, of Lima, Ohio; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Shutt and Gretchen (Perry) Watkins, both of Lima, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Shutt; and a brother, Richard Frail. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Westside United Methodist Church. The Rev. William Cronk will officiate.
