Elsie T. Makris,
93, died at 6:58 PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio. She is now in the arms of Jesus, happy and free.
Elsie was born on Monday, November 01, 1920, in Delphos, OH to the late Langdon Kohn and Mabel (Stegeman) Kohn. She married Perry Makris on January 20, 1940 and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2002.
Elsie had been a member of VFW Post 1275 Auxiliary and an active member of Lima Eagles Aerie #370. She was a member of the Daughters of Penelope. She also enjoyed line dancing very much
She is survived by three daughters; Kathy (Darold) Hefner of Lima, OH, Georgia (Larry) Porter of Holland, OH, and Debbie Makris of Rancho Cuca Monga, CA; Nine grandchildren Brad, Kelly, Mark, Kevin, Chris, Kyle, Joshua, Jessica and Jared; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM till 12:00 Noon, Monday December 23, 2005 with funeral services following at 12 Noon at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Father David M. Ross officiating.
Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
