ERMA J. NEU, 96, died at 8:19 a.m. May 17, 2006, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 21, 1910, in Allen County to Clyde R. and Mary Ellen Glancy Searfoss, who preceded her in death. In 1926, she married Harold Neu, who died Sept. 30, 1973. Mrs. Neu had worked at Neumode Hosiery and at Gregg's Department Store. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Neu Williams of Lima; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris A. Neu Gilmore; a grandson, David A. Williams; and two brothers, Howard and Ralph Searfoss. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
