Estill ?Pat? Patton, 93, died at 3:07 a.m. December 1, 2010, at St. Rita?s Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf, Ohio. He was born August 20, 1917, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to Joe and Martha ODell Patton, who preceded him in death. On September 12, 1944, in Prestonsburg, Ky., he married Maxine Allen, who died November 8, 2010. Mr. Patton was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired as a millwright from Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton/Clark Equipment. He was also a master upholsterer. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He loved camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Joe (Teresa) Patton, of Elida, Ohio, and Robert (Katherine) Patton, of Kokomo, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Kimberly (Buck) Mims, Joe (Megan) Patton, Darren (Barbara) Patton, Lauren (Eric) Clapper, Brett Patton, James Patton and Andrea (Juan) Nieto; two step grandchildren, Marci Dunlap and Tyler Dunlap; a sister-in-law, Myrtlene (Carl) Carpenter, of Evansville, Ind.; and special friends, Merle and Mary Ann Wheeler. He was preceded in death by a brother, Maurice Patton; and two sisters, Mildred Burkholder and Sally Miller. Services will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Shane Crites will officiate. Burial will be in Allentown Cemetery, Allentown. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
