89, passed from death into her eternal life with Jesus at Springview Manor at 9:40 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, Lima, Ohio.
Ethel was born on April 01, 1924, in Uniopolis, Ohio, to the late John Jacob Schaad and Selina [Brand] Schaad.
Ethel married Joseph Sobosly on May 8, 1943. He survives in Lima. She had worked in the cafeteria at Ford Motor Company for over 20 years, and also worked in the cafeteria at the DWG Cigar Factory. She was a member of the Lima Community Church, worked the funeral dinners, and crocheted baby afghans. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed having garage sales for her churches and community.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Sobosly; two daughters Carol (Robert) Evans of Ada, OH, and Cathy (Scott) DePoy of Gibsonia, PA; two grandchildren Dana (Dawn) Evans, and Jaime (Brent) Dye; two great grandsons Jordan Grace and Brayden Dye; a brother Martin (Phil) Schaad of Harrod, OH; two sisters Hilda Mumma of Ada, OH, and Helen Barnes of Rimer, OH.
She was preceded in death by: two sisters Rosalie Mericle and Florence Schaad; two brothers Ralph Schaad, and Elmer Schaad.
A private visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Memorial Park Mausoleum.
A private funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Rev. Robert Dye officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio.
