Etta Marie Parlapiano,
84, died at 5:05 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at St. Rita's Inpatient Hospice Unit in Lima, Ohio.
Etta was born on Saturday, January 14, 1933, in Lima, Ohio, to Virgil and Ruth Ann (Shaw) Roeder. On June 3, 1952 she married John Nicola "Nicko" Parlapiano who preceded her in death on September 9, 2014.
Etta was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society. She had worked for 13 years at the Shawnee Subway.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Harry) Jenner, Elida; sons, Nick (Emmadean) Parlapiano, Elida, Deeno (special friend Marsha) Parlapiano, Lima, and John (Sandy) Parlapiano, Tennessee; fourteen, grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a sister, Dotty Meyers, Lima and a brother, Ronald Roeder, Lima.
The family will receive friends from 4 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A graveside service will begin at 11 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Gethsemani Cemetery in Lima, Ohio. Father Norbert Howe will officiate.
