Eunice Smith

EUNICE E. SMITH, 88, died at 4:15 a.m. May 15, 2004, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. She was born May 27, 1915, in Lima, Ohio, to Charles and Mary Flory Githens, who preceded her in death. In 1931, she married Kenneth J. Weaver, who died in 1953. In 1956, she married Elmer Martin, who died in 1970. On October 15, 1976, in Lima, Ohio, she married Donald H. Smith, who died in 1999. Mrs. Smith was a cashier for Lima Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. Survivors include a son, Richard E. (Mary) Weaver of Elida, Ohio; five grandchildren, David (Jill) Weaver of Lima, Ohio, Suzette Weaver of Elida, Ohio, Robert (Lisa) Weaver of Dickson, Tenn., Daniel (Tonya) Weaver of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Joseph Weaver of Cridersville, Ohio; and 13 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Clyde Githens, Earnest Githens, Earl Githens, Glen Githens, Loyd Githens and Cloyd Githens; and four sisters, Gladys Bice, Marie Briggs, Alta Hensley and Grace Bishop. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate.
