Eunice Elizabeth Sommer,
82, died at 5:45 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home in Lima.
Eunice was born on March 14, 1934, in Dayton, to the late William and Alma (Nann) Crompton. On Saturday, November 15, 1952, she married William A. Sommer, Sr. who survives in Lima.
She is a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Eunice worked with her husband at William A. Sommer Company.
She is survived by: children, Mary Martha 'Marty' (Larry) Peckham of Escondido, CA, Karen Sommer of Lima, William A. Sommer, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Lima, Barbara (Paul) Schulz, of Fenton, MI, Kathy (Jim) Bowman of Sugar Grove, Patricia (Jim) McDonnell of Flemington, NJ, Christine (Dan) Wilmoth of Lima, Donald (Chris) Sommer of Ada; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; twin brother, Eugene Crompton (Mary Ann) and brother, 'Louie' William Lewis (Betty) Crompton, both of Dayton.
She was preceded in death by: grandson, Troy Peckham, granddaughter, Brandi Bowman and sister, Mary DiCiacco.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 AM on Monday, January 23rd at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio. Father Kent Kauffman will officiate.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
