Evelyn Miller

Evelyn G. Miller 84, died at 8:23 p.m. July 22, 2009, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born March 22, 1925, in Auglaize County, Ohio to John and Elda Chiles Hower, who preceded her in death. She married Richard O. Miller, who died January 24, 1983. Mrs. Miller retired as a nurse?s aide from Lima Convalescent Home after 17 years. She had been a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370. She loved to fish, play cards and spend time with her family. Survivors include three daughters, Lesta (Bob) Teman, of Elida, Ohio, Diana Boughan, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Beverly Bassitt, of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Marilyn (Mike) Rogers, of Lima, Ohio; three grandchildren, Raemie Ankney, Tiffany Ciminillo and Jaemy Bassitt; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Jim Hower, Roscoe Hower and Harley Hower, LaVon Rumer and Arthur and Flossie Hower. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard Allison will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice.
