Fairy W. Rabe,
93, passed away at 2:20 AM on Friday, April 24, 2015, in Lima, Ohio.
Fairy was born on December 13, 1921, to the late Frank and Jessie (Shoup) Page. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Donald A. Rabe.
Fairy was a graduate of Lima Central High School. She was a dedicated employee of Porter's Music Store and Lazarus Department Store. She was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. Fairy was an active volunteer at her church, a leader in the Girl Scouts, Lima Public Schools, and on the Board of Directors of the Lima YWCA.
Fairy touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity. She will be remembered by all those blessed to have known her.
Her compassionate and gentle spirit will live on in her daughter, Barbara (Neil) Duncan of Castle Pines, CO; her two beloved grandchildren, Kelly (Kevin) Thorpe and Neil (Stephanie) Duncan; and four adored great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Alice (Paul) Page and Jean (Roger) Page, along with many nieces and nephew.
She is preceded in death by: two young sons, Roger and Donald Rabe; three sisters, her twin, Virginia Vogelgesang, Rhoda Rogers and Dorothy Page; and five brother, Paul, Claude, Roger, Donald and Stanley page.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Woodlawn cemetery in Lima, Ohio. Pastor Tim Benjamin will officiate.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Cystic Fibrosis foundation.
