Flora E. Freshour, 83, died at 2:54 a.m. August 28, 2010, at Wyngate Senior Living Center. She was born August 18, 1927, in Lima, Ohio to Thomas F. and Hettie Haynes Dew, who preceded her in death. On August 3, 1957, she married Robert J. Freshour, who died August 5, 1989. Mrs. Freshour was a 1945 graduate of Lima South High School and retired in 1984 after 39 years as a secretary at City Loan & Savings Co. She was a member of the Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275; American Legion Post 96; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370; Orioles Nest 173; and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54. She was a volunteer for Lima Memorial Health System, the Lima-Allen County Humane Society and Senior Citizens Services. Survivors include a sister, Sandra ?Sandy? Davis, of Clermont, Flaorida; a niece, Monica (David) Davis-Cowan, of Lima, Ohio; and a nephew, Bradley I. Davis, of Florida. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary E. Dew, Rutha Klass and Margaret ?Peg? Mack. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday and noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
