Forest Hale 78, died at 5:10 p.m. August 11, 2007, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born September 3, 1928, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to Ben and Liney Wireman Hale, who preceded him in death. On March 3, 1954, he married Charlene Campbell, who died February 7, 1978. On April 4, 1986, he married Deborah Grant, who survives in Lima, Ohio. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and playing the banjo and guitar. He especially loved spending time with his family. He loved his dog Bear. Survivors also include five sons, Forest Hale Jr., of Lima, Ohio, Robert (Paula) Hale, of Spencerville, Ohio, and Roy Hale, Randy (Heather) Hale and Ellisworth Hale, all of Lima, Ohio; three daughters, Sherry (Steve) Foust, Lisa Salyers and Sheila (Todd) Wheeler, all of Lima, Ohio; three sisters, Doris (Ames) Wireman, of Lima, Ohio, Edith Conley, of Michigan, and Ethel Nobel, of Lima, Ohio; and 33 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin Hale and Denver Hale; a daughter, Della Hale; five brothers, Earnhale Hale, Lewis Hale, Estell Hale, Dan Hale Jr. and Denver Hale; and two sisters, Harriett Hale and Nancy Hale. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lima Freewill Baptist Church. The Rev. Ezia Moore and the Rev. Ed Wireman will officiate. Burial will be in McDonald-Fairview Cemetery, Kenton, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Condolences may be expressed at www.chamberlainhuckeriede.com.
