Francis D. Andrew,
95, died at 9:32 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at his home in Lima, Ohio.
Francis was born on Saturday, May 20, 1922, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, to the late John Howard and Alma Blanch (Bradford) Andrew. On April 7, 1945 he married Virginia Willoughby, who preceded him in death on September 4, 2016. On Saturday, May 20, 2017, he married Marjorie Meeks- Bryan, who survives.
Francis served in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from the Otis Elevator Company as their District Manager. He was a member of Market Street Presbyterian Church, Lima Lodge #205 Free and Accepted Masons, Antioch Shrine, Lima Shrine Club and past President, High Twelve, 32 nd Degree Mason-Scottish Rite-Valley of Dayton, Allen County Scottish Rite Association, El Karan and Life Member of Allen County D.A.V #19.
He is survived by: daughters, Patricia Andrew-Batis and Kelly Ann (Gary) McFarland, Springfield; grandchildren, Chloe McFarland and Frank McFarland; step children, Paul (Kenni) Coulter, Dana (Chris) Coulter, Katherine (Nathan) Honcell, John (Brenda) Plescher, Robert Plescher, Karen (Steve) High; several nieces and nephews and a sister, Mildred Ungleby.
He was preceded in death by: first wife, Virginia M. Andrew; stepson, James Edward Coulter; brother, Wayne E. Andrew; sisters, Helen Ballard and Ruth Sliphorst.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2018 There will be a Masonic Service by Lima Lodge #205 followed by a Scottish Rite Ring Service at 8 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2018 following the visitation at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 11 AM on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Market Street Presbyterian Church in Lima, Ohio. Rev. Dottie Kaiser will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Beavercreek, Ohio, at a later date.
