Francis Thompson

FRANCIS H. THOMPSON, 78, died at 9:45 p.m. March 7, 2006, at his residence. He was born May 31, 1927, in Lima to Gerald and Byrl Haggard Thompson, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 3, 1948, he married Audrey Fillinger, who survives in Lima. Mr. Thompson was a life member of the International Brick Layers Union. He was a member of Assembly of God Church, Bellefontaine. Survivors also include a son, Jeffrey (Tamara) Thompson of Columbus Grove; two daughters, Pamela Thompson (Donald) Cistaro of State College, Pa., and Melinda (George) Clementz of Cridersville; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Stuart Thompson. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Cable Road Alliance Church, 2264 N. Cable Road. The Rev. Ronald Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Rushsylvania Cemetery, Rushsylvania. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and 2 p.m. Friday at the church, where lunch will be served for family and friends.
