Frank Burkholder

Frank Eugene Burkholder, 93, died at 7:35 p.m. June 21, 2007, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born April 8, 1914, in Allen County, OHio to Abram L. and Edna Elizabeth Higgs Burkholder, who preceded him in death. He married Maxine Morris, who died in 1965. He then married Mary M. Staples, who died December 15, 2003. Mr. Burkholder retired from the BP Refinery, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club and the BP Management Club. Survivors include a brother, L.J. Burkholder, of Lima, Ohio; two grandsons, Keith (Connie) Burkholder and Robert (Deb) Burkholder, both of Lima, Ohio; and six great-grandchildren, Ryan Burkholder, Brent Burkholder, Lyndsey Burkholder, Nathan Burkholder, Brandon Burkholder and Travis Burkholder. He was preceded in death by a son, Arthur R. Burkholder; two sisters, Pearl L. Shrider and Maxine O. Gonya; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Burkholder. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard Allison will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
