Defeated in his courageous battle with the diseases of addiction and depression, Frank Anthony DePalma, age 26, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 from an accidental overdose of opiates at his home in Delray Beach, Florida. Born November 26, 1989 in Lima, Ohio to Lisbeth (Vertuca) Lovell and Anthony L. DePalma. Frank attended St. Charles Parish and School, graduated from Lima Central Catholic and attended the University of Cincinnati. He was employed at Gleneagles Country Club, Delray Beach.
To know him, was to love him. Frank's warmth, charm and unforgettable smile were magnetic. His genuine love and affection for others was a rare gift that leaves a legacy we will carry in our hearts forever. When you think of Frank, remember to be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.
Our hearts are broken, we will miss him every day for the rest of our lives, yet we know that the Lord has given our beloved Frank the peace that continued to elude him on this earth.
Preceding Frank in death are Maternal Grandfather Antonio A. Vertuca, Paternal Grandfather Anthony J. DePalma and infant cousin Michael Davis.
Left to cherish his memory survivors include his Mother and Stepfather, Liz and Ron Lovell; his Father Tony DePalma. His beloved Sister, Leda (Kerger) Truesdell, (Brooklyn, NY), his Brother and best friend, Vincent DePalma (Los Angeles, CA).
Maternal Grandmother "Nanny" Frances H. Vertuca and Paternal Grandmother "Nanny" Janet L. DePalma.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 1:00-8:00pm at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, July 30, 2016, 10:00am, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio. Interment will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
