Fredonia BATHTEL

Fredonia E. Ramge Bowman Bathtel, 103, died at 5 p.m. Nov. 15, 2007, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born May 9, 1904, in Wapakoneta to Henry P. and Lulu Snider Ramge. On Dec. 22, 1923, she married Floyd C. Bowman, who died Oct. 10, 1957. On June 1, 1969, she married Harry A. Bathtel, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Bathtel was a homemaker. She was a 60-year member of Trinity United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Literary Guild, Friends of the Library, Lima Senior Citizens and AARP. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Weeks, of Springfield, and Donna (Robert O.) Hadsell, of Indianapolis; and eight grandchildren, 10 stepgrandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nine stepgreat-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Dean Bowman; a stepdaughter, Betty Conger; and four siblings, Oscar Ramge, Bertha Linbert and two infant brothers. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
