Fredora F. Swartz

Fredora F. Swartz , 87, of Elida passed away at 8:20 PM on Friday, July 19, 2013, at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.

Fredora was born on Tuesday, March 16, 1926, in Anna, Ohio, to the late Robert E. Stocker and Maude S. [Richardson] Stocker.

On Wednesday, April 07, 1948, she married Dean E. Swartz, he died January 30, 2010.

She was a registered nurse, graduating from Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She was employed at the hospital and then had worked for Dr. David Steiner Sr's office and Columbia Nursing Home. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She volunteered with Elida Rescue Squad, and also was a volunteer nurse at Elida Elementary School. She was part of the Harvard Medical School Nurse's Health Study since 1976.

Surviving are a son, Michael (Connie) Swartz of Lima, OH, a daughter Deana Bridges of Lima, OH, also surviving are seven grandchildren; Danielle Swartz, Kendra (Tony) Tamayo, Justin Swartz, Jessica Bridges, Joshua (Lisa) Bridges, Jenna Bridges, Joelle Bridges, and twelve great grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews Myron, Betty, Wilma, Cheryl Ann, Kenny, Chuck, Shirley Ann & Barbara Lynn.

She was preceded in death by a son Hal Swartz, sister; Georgia Conrad, three brothers, Delmer Stocker, Vaun Stocker, and Harold Stocker, a niece, Linda and a nephew, Gordon,

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Rev. Tim Benjamin officiating.

Interment will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio.
