G. Gene Dulebohn,
83, died at 8:15 AM on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos, Ohio.
Gene was born on Wednesday, December 02, 1931, in Allen County, Ohio, to the late Harry and Viola (Lotz) Dulebohn. On Sunday, October 15, 1950, in Fletcher Chapel Church, Holden, Ohio, he married Louise R. Shook who preceded him in death.
Mr. Dulebohn was the former owner of Dulebohn Garage and Body Shop and Sohio Gas Station in Waynesfield from 1955-1977. He also worked for Weaver Frame Service for seventeen years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #96, a former member of the Waynesfield Volunteer Fire Department and former Waynesfield Village Councilman. He served in the United States Army attaining the rank of Corporal and served in Germany during the Korean War. He was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by: two daughters, Kathy (Todd) Smith of Coldwater and Cheryl (Doug) Von Sossan of Elida; brothers, Harry (Jewel), Jim (Bev), Bob of FL and Bill (Diana) Dulebohn of Waynesfield;, sisters, Mid Turner of Waynesfield and Linda (Lloyd) Painter of Lima; brother-in-laws, Harold Newland, Ron (Pam) Shook; sister-in-laws, Elaine Greenlee and Barbara Rowlands; grandchildren, Brent Melton, Tyler (fiancé Renee Cygen) and Adam Von Sossan; great grandchildren, Caiden and Megan Melton and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: three sisters, Bettye Chiles, Dorothy Newland and Ann Miller; brother-in-laws, Bill Greenlee, Richard Shook, Joe Chiles and Bob Rowlands; and Sister-in-law Diane Dulebohn.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio with graveside Military Services conducted by VFW Spencerville Post 6772. Pastor Megan Croy will officiate.
