77, died peacefully supported by his loved ones at 2:34 AM on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at his residence.
Gary was born on December 12, 1937, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Arthur Crawford and Lola E. (Hall) Crawford.
Gary married Judith Kay Giffin on March 15, 1954. She survives in Lima. He retired from Dana Corporation in 1999 after 29 1/2 years. He later worked as a driver for Advance Auto Parts for 5 years. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and a very devoted family man.
He is survived by: four sons, David (Irene) Crawford, of Tipp City, OH, Dan (Van Shephard) Crawford, of Columbus, OH, Doug (David Rapp) Crawford, of Bremen, OH and Glenn Crawford, of Lima, OH; a daughter, Deb (Denny) Powell, of Elida, OH; seven grandchildren, Heather, Amanda, Jodi, Brooke, Morgan, Logan, Ray, great grandchildren, Kayden, Luke, Vincent, Harrison, Cooper, Sam, Aurora, Gabe, a sister Jacquelyn (Richard) Musto, of Lima, OH.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Crawford, mother and step father, Lola and Ken Krites and father, Arthur Crawford.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio. Father David M. Ross will officiate.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
