Born Wednesday, July 6, 1949 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carroll C Daniels and Betty Jane Gibson Daniels, survives in Lima, Ohio.
Gary married W. Jane Murray on November 30, 1985, She survives in Elida, Ohio. He served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He was employed at the Ford Lima Engine Plant. He loved gardening, and enjoyed Tough Truck Racing, and building the trucks. He had a great racing career, winning many trophies. He loved hunting, fishing, camping at Lake Erie, spending time with family and friends and being with the grandchildren.
Surviving are son, Jason (Hailey) Daniels of Elida, OH, daughters, Jennifer (Jay) Schwartz of Lima, OH and Aimee (Derek) Gesler of Lima, OH, Step Children, Davin (Ida) Hickman of Wapak, Ohio Kenny Hickman of San Diego, California, Julie Hickman of Elida, Ohio. A brother, Rick Daniels of Cridersville, OH, sister, Linda (David) Biller of Cridersville, OH., half brother, Steve Whitaker of Phoenix, AZ . Thirteen grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a stepfather, Norman C. Ricker,
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Vickie Hahn officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, OH.
