Gayle Bowersock

Lima GAYLE E. BOWERSOCK, 72, died at 2:06 a.m. May 25, 2005, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born March 2, 1933, in Lima to Marian and Mildred Verbryke Bowersock, who preceded him in death. On May 14, 1955, he married Margaret A. "Peg" Bishop, who survives in Lima. Mr. Bowersock retired from Dana Corp. He was a member of Hawthorne Hills Golf Club and its Hole In One club. He was an avid golfer and loved playing with his sons and grandsons. Survivors also include three sons, Michael (Roberta) Bowersock of Fort Wayne, Ind., the Rev. Jeffrey (Roxanne) Bowersock of Frederick, Md., and Douglas (Tracy) Bowersock of Hoagland, Ind.; two daughters, Deborah (Fred) Klippel of Clarks Mills, N.Y., and Brenda (Rex) Compston of New Haven, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Brittany, Lynn, Jason, Jeremy, Jared, Michael, Steven, Julie, Nichole and Cydnee; and two great-grandchildren, Lilly and Lynn. He was preceded in death by a sister, Della Mae Reier. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeffrey Bowersock, his son, will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
