George Richard "Dick" Hastings,
73, of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at 7:55 P.M. at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Born Thursday, June 22, 1939 in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of the late Carmen Hastings and the late Marjorie Maple Hastings.
He married Cecil Spangler on March 12, 1960 in Indiana. She survives in Lima, Ohio. He was a member of Bluelick Bible Church. Mr. Hastings retired from The Ford Engine Plant, Lima.
Surviving are: two daughters, Anne (Ron) Bowman of Lima, Ohio and Kathryn (Jon) Lipsitz of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren, Jennifer Anne (Shawn) Allgire, Brittany Nicole Bowman, Zachary Tanner Lipsitz, Edward Maxwell Lipsitz; a brother, John (Missy) Hastings of Lima, OH; and a sister, Peg (Mike) Crawford of Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Pastor James Neighbors officiating.
Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster, OH.
