91, died at 1:33 PM on Friday, December 13, 2013, at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.
George was born on May 17, 1922, in Rushsylvania, Ohio, to the late Jobie Rae Smith and Lillian Avila Catherene (Vanica) Smith.

George retired from Campnell and Resto Corp and B & L. Properties. He was a member of the VFW Post #1275, Lima; American Legion Post #96; Orioles Nest Post #173; and Am Vets #1. He served in the United States Army during WWII.
He is survived by: a son David Robin Smith of PA; a daughter Mary Beth (Phillip) Richmond of PA; a sister Elizabeth Ella Hudson, of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren; and friends Barbara (Lou) Markiewicz, of Lima, OH.
He is preceded in death by: a sister Avila M. Snarr; and a brother Ray Smith, Jr.
