Georgia Mae Williams, 93, passed away at 6:12 p.m. on August 11, 2021, at her home in Lima.
Georgia was born on September 25, 1927, in Lima, Ohio, to the late William L. and Katie (Burke) Ward. She married Isaac Bruce Williams III who preceded her in death.
Georgia was a teacher for the Lima City Schools for 35 years, as well as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, was a lifetime member of AKA Sorority, a member of the Hy-Ho Club and also the Retired Teachers Association. She dearly loved her many grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Lynn (Greg) Moore; son, Keith A. Williams; eleven grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lora Belle Houston. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Bruce L. Williams and seven siblings.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. AKA Sorority Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.. Rev. Dennis Ward will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
