Gerald Eugene Hadding

Gerald Eugene Hadding, 73 , passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Monday September 13, 2021, at home.

Gerald was born on October 21, 1947, in Lima, Ohio to the late Eugene and Eva (Lundy) Hadding.  On June 7, 1969 he married Erma Jean Williams  who survives in Lima.

Gerald served in the U.S. Army from December 21, 1965 until January 19, 1968, during the Vietnam Era. He worked as an Interior Assembler at Accubuilt Inc. He was a member of United Auto Workers #975. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Gerald also loved playing golf, softball and bowling. Most of all Gerald loved spending time with his family.

Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Samantha (Bucky) Zimmerman of Lima; five sons: Gary Hadding, Ben Hadding, Bradley (Shannon) Hadding, Earl Adkins and Izaya Adkins all of Lima. Twenty Grandchildren , Thirteen Great- Grandchildren; two sisters Rhoda (Johnny) Williamson and Kathleen Hadding; and a brother, Gary (Karen) Hadding.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Roy Hadding; a sister, Mary Leona Williams;  three step brothers: Robert Hadding, John Hadding, and Walter Hadding.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 3 - 8 p.m. on Friday, September 17 and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.  Burial will be at Bath Township Cemetery, Lima, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
