"Gerry" F. Frueh

“Gerry” Frueh, 92, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at her home.

Gerry was born on August 7, 1930, in Lima, Ohio, to Albert and Grace (McNamara) Eilerman.  On February 16, 1952, she married her love of 72 years, Thomas Joseph Frueh, who survives in Lima.

Gerry was a secretary at The Lima Public Library for 16 years and also worked at Don Johnson Florist.  She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Garden Club.  She enjoyed arranging flowers and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Greg (Carol) Frueh, Mark (Julie) Frueh, and James (Lyuda) Frueh; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Patricia Snider and Carol Eilerman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Joan (Don) Blackwell and Mayrose (Tommy) Thompson; and infant brother, Henry Eilerman.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at St. Rose Catholic Church.  Father David Ross will officiate.  A private entombment will be at Gethsemani Mausoleum, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church Parish or Lima Central Catholic.
