Gertrude L. Anderson,
72 of Lima, Ohio died on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 11:26 A.M. at her residence in Lima, Ohio.

Born Friday, April 19, 1940 in Mendenhall, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie R. Stapleton and the late Minnie M. (McAffee) Stapleton.

Gertrude married Nathaniel Anderson on November 8, 1957; he survives in Lima, Ohio. She retired after 16 years from St. Rita's Medical Center. She was a member of the Cornerstone Harvest Church and its Alpha & Omega Club. She loved the Lord, gardening, her flowers, sewing, traveling to Florida with her husband and baking. She also enjoyed her family, especially her grandkids.

Surviving are: a son, Ronnie (Sheila) Anderson of Lima, OH; two daughters, Angela Anderson of Lima, OH and Lisa (Doug) Brinkman of Lima, OH; four grandsons, Ross Anderson of Lima, OH, Ryan M. Anderson, of Columbus, GA, Vincent Anderson of Lima, OH, and Maxwell Anderson of Lima, OH; five great grandchildren, Alexandra, Shania, DaVonte, Rozahd and Makya; five brothers, Elnathan Stapleton of Lima, OH, Curtis (Mamie) Stapleton of Lima, OH, Leo Stapleton of Lima, OH, Robert (Marsha) Stapleton of Lima, OH and Harold Stapleton of Flint, MI; three sisters, Johnnie R. Bluford of California, Jessie Stapleton of Lima, OH and Odessa (Sam) Brown of Lima, OH; and a sister-in-law, Annie Stapleton of Lima, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by: a brother, Jon Stapleton; and two sisters, Evelyn Benton and Christina George.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 22, 1013 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:oo P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Cornerstone Harvest Church located at 2000 N. Cole St. Lima, Ohio 45801 with the Pastor David Roberts officiating.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.
