Gilbert R. "Bob" Sybert,

79, died at 4:40 AM on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Lima Manor Care Center in Lima, Ohio.

Gilbert was born on Wednesday, May 11, 1938, in Greenwood, Indiana, to the late Gilbert A. and Mary Elizabeth (Geiger) Sybert.  On Saturday, June 15, 1957, he married Louann Smith who survives.

Bob was a retired machinist having worked at Teledyne / Ohio Steel and at Neal Machine.  He was a 30 year member of Westside and Cridersville Lions Clubs, International Harvester Tractor Club, and Buckeye Farm Antiques. Bob was a 1956 graduate of Lima Senior High School.

He is survived by a son, Robert (Tina) Sybert of Hattiesburg, MS and a  daughter,  Susan (Mark) Williams of Loveland, OH; daughter-in-law, Constance Sybert of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Lee (Kristin) Sybert, Ross Sybert, Alisha (Jessie) Wisner, Aspen Sybert, Luke Williams, Josh Williams, Anne Williams and Lindsay Williams.

He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Jane Sybert and a son, Thomas Sybert.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Monday, February 5, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio with the Memorial Service to follow at 4 PM.  Pastor Joshua Andrews will officiate.
