Glenn Alan Crawford

Glenn Alan Crawford, 61, passed away at 12:04 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s. 

Glenn was born on June 29, 1962, in Lima, Ohio, to Gary Arthur and Judy (Giffin) Crawford.  

Glenn was a 1981 graduate of Lima Senior High School and a retired Sergeant with the City of Lima Police Dept.  He was an avid Ohio State University football fan, and a frustrated, soon to give up on, Cincinnati Reds fan. Glenn was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.

He is survived by mother, Judy; sister, Deb (Denny) Powell of Marion, OH;  his brothers: Dave (Irene) Crawford of Tipp City, OH, Dan (Van Shephard) Crawford of Columbus, OH, and Doug (David Rapp) Crawford of Bremen, OH; fiancée, Chris Raines and her daughter, Rachel (Jacob Kanady) Raines of Georgia.  He is also survived by nieces: Brooke (Dan Stauffer) Crawford, Morgan Paige (Tony Velasquez Jr.) Crawford, and Logan (Morgan Crowe) Crawford, who he raised as his own upon the passing of their father Scott Crawford; nieces, Amanda (Scott) Webb, and Jodi (Dave) Thomas; nephew, Ray (Holly) Dukes; niece, Heather (Todd) Purcell; aunts, Kathy Boop and Sue Caprella; many great-nieces, great- nephews, cousins; and all of his family of dogs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary and brother, Scott Crawford.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 7 p.m. on Monday, January 29. 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio with an hour of sharing from 7 – 8 p.m.  The funeral mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30. 2024, at St. Rose Catholic Church.  Father David Ross will officiate.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.  Glenn was a casual guy, so the family asks that you join them in dressing casual.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Police Dept. Canine Fund.
