Glenn Robert ?Bob? Decker 77, died at 5:52 p.m. November 22, 2007, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born May 28, 1930, in Hancock County, Ohio, to Elven Henry and Mary Blunk Decker, who preceded him in death. On December 9, 1978, he married Linda Darlene McElroy, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Decker worked for Western Ohio Stone Quarry for more than 20 years and later at the YWCA in maintenance and security and as a bus driver for Perry schools. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He loved to garden and work in the yard and was an avid golfer. ?Uncle Bob? loved his nieces and nephews. Survivors also include two daughters, Markeeta Gael (Phillip) Luma, of Bluffton, Ohio, and Marleen Blithe Godwin, of San Jose, Califiornia; a sister, Maxine Schroyer, of Findlay, Ohio; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his faithful companion, Schultzie. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ellen Schroyer, Golda Hook and Corla Louise Decker. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor James Neighbors will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen County Humane Society or Bluelick Bible Church building fund.
