Glesna D. Caprella, 88 of Lima, Ohio died at 11:55 PM, Friday, May 10, 2013, at Springview Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family first.
Born Saturday, March 28, 1925 in Duncanwood, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry Coneby and the late Susie Brown Coneby. She married Joseph A. Caprella on October 20, 1945 and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2005.
She was employed by the Eagles, prior to that she was employed by Westinghouse and Baders Trucking. She was a member of St. Gerards Catholic Church, graduate of Lima South High School also a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #370 Lima, Veterans of Foreign War Aux. #1275, Charitable Italian American Organization and the Red Hatters
Surviving are three sons, Andy (Ann) Caprella of Harrod, OH, Mike (Mary) Caprella of Lima, OH and Tom Caprella of Lima, OH, also a daughter, Sue (Mike) Dew of Elida, OH. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; Wendy (Tony) Wirz, Gina Caprella, Andy (Brenda) Caprella,. Jr., Debbie Caprella, Joe (Tessa) Caprella Tom Caprella, Cindy Caprella, Mike Caprella, Tony Caprella, Erik (Kris) Caprella, A. J. Caprella, Mike Dew, Kevin Dew also fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother Thomas Coneby.
Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Monday, May 13, 2013 followed by a VFW Auxillary service at 8:00 P.M. immediately followed by a Parish Wake Service at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. , Tuesday, May 14. 2013 at St. Gerard's Catholic Church, Father James Szobonya officiating.
.Entombment will be in Gethsemani Mausoleum, Lima, OH.
