Gloria Anita Furr

Gloria Furr, 80, of Lima, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born on September 29, 1942 in Hart, MI to the late Catalina {Segovia Moralez} and Cruz Herrera Sr.

Gloria retired from LACCA where she was an educator. She was a member of the teachers’ union and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Pablo (Brenda Caudill) Pinkerton, Mario (Christina) Moralez Sr., Katrina (David) Furr Bradley, Homer Furr Jr., and Isaac (Laura) Furr; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren with one on the way; stepdaughter, Peggy Winegartner; brother, Virgil Moralez; and stepdaughters-in-law: Maria, Glenna, and Mary Jo Furr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer Furr Sr.; brother, Cruz Herrera Jr.; stepchildren: Eugene “Larry” Furr, Dale “Mike” Furr, and Howard Furr; and stepson-in-law, Richard Winegartner.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
